Well the first mod that I would do, knowing what I know now, is lower the car. First of all it's FREE! Then an exhaust adds that agressive tone that the car should have from the factory IMO. From there the biggest "looks" would be a set of wheels or you could go for more performance. Either way you go have fun and enjoy the car!

Get some chrome wheels. No vette should be without one.

If you start under the hood. Take your time and get the good items ex. chrome CEC stuff. Dont waste you money on ss items.
Just my opinion,
Bob

Intake W/cool air mod, and exhaust. It has to breathe, and I agree that lowering is a major appearance mod. For me the BSM ruined the smooth lines, so if you have them, get rid of them, unless you like the look. Go limo tint on rear glass on a black car. It gives the appearance that the glass is part of the car. JMO

Lowered and limo tint

When I look at this C6/C5 comparison, it looks like the C5 is sitting behind a Mazda RX7. It just came to me like an epiphany from above.

BSM removal

Another vote for exhaust! Dressing up the engine was the last thing I did.

Engine dressup is hardly a mod. You got a corvette boy..be proud. Go do something useful to it. Like headers and a Z06 Ti exhaust.

I agree with the others...do engine bay dress-up last. Under-the-hood mods are more impressive after your car looks & sounds better. Lowering, air intake, exhaust is where I started. After that then power mods...headers, H&C...then wheels & tires...then suspenion & brakes. See we can all help you spend lots of $$$$.

Decide first on what kind of modding you want to do: Appearance or Performance. Ton's of stuff you can do to mod the appearance including things as simple as emblem upgrades or new shift ****. In terms of improved performance, I would start (as I was told) with improving air in and exhaust out. A Blackwing is one of the best and most cost efficient improvements you can make to improving air flow. Then look at upgrading the exahust.

Again, it all depends on what you want to focus on to determine what comes first. Good luck - and welcome to the Forum.

PS: Paula's stuff is the best around

First thing I did to mine was an air intake and cat back exhaust. Then progressed to wheels/tires, interior and then under the hood.
