I'm going to break the mould and say "do nothing".

The car has so much power and capability that making it faster and quicker just means you have a faster and quicker car than you (and most of us) are even less able to control to its full extent than before.

However, what you could do is spend your money becoming hooked on track events (HPDE) where you'll learn not only what a rotten driver you actually are (no offence intended as unless you're a Schumi clone you'll soon see it for yourself) but how to get the most out of your car and any other car you drive.

That's the biggest bang for the buck by far and, then, when you can drive the car to somewhat approaching its limits, then make it go faster. These comments don't apply, by the way, to making it safer and so but just to adding HP simply for the sake of it.

Your right,I have little skill with road corse type racing but this car will feel slow to me at the drag strip.I've been drag racing for about 12 years and have been NHRA legal to 7.50 for several years and can't count how manny 9 and 10 sec. passes I have.So I hope I can handle this one.lol!I'm sure I could use alot of help in other types of racing though. What is HPDE?Thanks!

Bob... tough it out man.. drive that sucker with your broken ankle anyway... why not? You afraid it might HURT or something??

Sorry, had to give you some crap... Rain, snow and time all keep me from driving our Vette... I'm not sure a broken ankle would...

Ok, Ok, seriously... The ankle sucks, sorry.

It's tough to not mod these cars... but yeah, you get much past 425-450 hp and you will need to start beefing up alot of stuff to make them unbreakable!!!
If you're used to 9 and 10 second passes...and feel the need to go there with this one... Start at one end and and don't stop 'til you get to the other!!! Have fun!!

from Nebraska!!

Well it's my right ankle and the break isn't the bad part,it's sprained on top of the break. If it was only broke I would be driving it already.I'm sure I'll be driving it before I should .I hope I don't have to make it that fast to make me happy,at least for now.lol!

Now you have time to read and re-read the owners manual and play with your DIC "Driver Information Center".
Here's some good reading while you mend.

I realize you're focusing on perf. mods, but don't forget completely about appearance mods. I've been told (by a mechanic who will remain annonymous) that a new set of Lloyd mats and some SS inserts will give at boost hp by 20!
