Cd Changer?

Default Cd Changer?

Hey guys how come I dont have that plug for a factory cd changer to be put in? I check under the carpeting in the rear middle compartment. I have a 03 Z. I thaught that they where wired for it but some just didnt have the option? Please enlighten me.

AS you have pretty well figured out for yourself, I don't believe they are all wired. You can buy the wiring harness.

the "pre wired" for factory CD changer wiring is in the passenger side foot well, they're all like this.
you need the harness that goes from the footwell to the rear of the car.

You need the GM COR-HAR, can be found for around 40 bucks

What all is required to be removed for you to be able to run the harness under the passenger footwell?? Like does anyone have a pictures of the installation???

it's just trim pieces, it's pretty easy.

jusr remove the trim on the right side of the car and tuck the harness in place all the way back to the center storage compartment in the rear.

you will also need a CD changer mounting bracket. checkout one of the forum dealers like fred beans, they have a CD changer installation kit that has everything you need to install a factory CD changer, including the harness. I think they run around $99.00

Forget the CD changer. Get an IPod2car. I unplugged my CD changer to hook up the IPod2car. Why have 12 CDs when you can have several hundred?

Default 12 disc changer

I'll sell you my changer out of my 2003. I hate changing discs so I added an XM thru cd cable and hid head unit in ashtray. Enail me id intewrested in CD changer and brackets. Its plug and play.
