Wheeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
I've had my '99 vert (14k mi.) for 1 1/2 yrs. Use it only for cruisin'. Got bored yesterday with Katrina cleanup so I took my baby "out for a walk". Happened upon this wonderful straight, flat, almost deserted stretch of Old Hwy. 90 and decided to turn her loose. Wow!! Before I knew it, I was sitting on xxx mph and climbing! Got a little skittish, so I backed off it. Cruised on home with a wide smile. Wasn't bored any more. I'm not normally one to travel at illegal speeds, but I guess I just couldn't resist the urge this particular time. Talk about sheer excitement! This is truly "the only true American sports car". Any of you ever have a similar experience?

I took mine to 71 once......felt guilty as hell....thought for sure I was gonna get struck by a lightning bolt or something and backed it right back down again.
