what to do!
So as far as performance goes. I really wouldnt mind selling this thing and getting a 6spd..BUT if you guys can convince me an auto ls1 vette can be fast.. maybe ill stick with it. I want money invested in this thing to get me the most performance as possible. Before I spend $1200 on exhaust, should I spend $1200 on doing a ls6 head swap..get my drift? I basically don't know much about these cars but I am just now getting under the hood. I basically want to know my options are and realistic power I can get out of this thing without spending another $10000.
I have a 98...is that different than a 99? I noticed some parts are available for the 99-00 but it doesnt list 97-98...whats different about my car/engine than the rest of the years? 99-04? My roommate has a procharger on his 99 cobra and hearing that thing whine and haul *** makes me want that kind of power out of my vette. Is it worth the money putting a supercharger on the ls1? Could I make much more power putting a ls6 head or what other combination can I do to get alot of power out of what I have? I just dont want to start buying intakes and stuff..i want to start doing the mods that will give me power. I was considering nitrous, but is that safe on an automatic? I guess over all im wanting a scope on what I can do to this badboy before I start forkin out the money. I realize it will cost me about 7G's to put a supercharger on it. What else can I do? COULD I put ls6 heads on a 98 motor? thanks guys! -casey RIP 92 c4

Something (h.ll a lot of things) are wrong with this post? You spent $53K for a '98 Vette? The car isn't out there that's worth that kinda dough! Unless the trunk was filled with cocaine. In that case, sell the dope, lose the vette & buy a Jag (6-speed - of course).
Next you used the word "invested" in the same sentence with "performance"? What ever you spend in performance will be money you will NOT recoup and probably will bring down re-sale.
If your for real, how about correcting your post and the guys here will help you.
