I have read many threads about reprograming a cluster to match the milage from the exiting cluster when doing the HUD mod. I have contacted several Chevy dealers in my area and am told they do not have the capabilities to do this. Does anyone know where I can get this done in the New England area? MA, RI, NH or CT.
I also contacted several Chevy dealers before I got an answer! Call back and ask the PARTS DEPT where they would get this done if they had to have it done, sooner or later someone will tell you... I paid $45 to have mine done plus $7 have have it shipped back, it was gone 3 days total http://www.sotelectronics.com/locations.php3

my local chevy dealer couldn't do it. I bugged them until they told me where they send theirs. It wasn't easy, but i got it out of them. I think it ran me $45
I've commented many times on this subject. Dealers are not equipped to do this kind of work. They (dealers) send our clusters out to speedometer shops who actually do the work. The dealer will usually add $100+ onto the bill the speedo gives them.
You have to do a search to locate speedometer shops in your area. Then call them up to find out charges, etc. When I installed my HUD, I took a 2000 cluster to a Chicagoland speedo shop and had them do the odometer reprogram. Cost was $85.
Your other option is PaceThis as was previously mentioned.
As suggested above: Do call a few local Chevey dealers in your area and ask them where they send out the dash clusters for recalibration. However, all you have to do is to look in your local yellow pages under Speedometer Recalibration, and, you are bound to find a few listings. The cost is generally less than $80 if you bring in the cluster (out of the vehicle) yourself. And, most recalibration shops can perform the service within an hour, or, less depending upon how busy they might be. Good luck.
