HUD's Getting Dim

I have an '02 and it seems like the HUD is getting gradually dimmer. Is there another brightness control or adjustment in addition to the obvious one on the dash?

There is only one brightness control. Maybe your battery is going bad or you have a poor ground. It's best you check these items b4 taking anything apart. Good luck...

Thanks for the response. Which grounds exactly are you refering to, the battery or are there other grounds that I need to concern myself about?

also check that nothing gnarly is coating the surface. I noticed mine looking dimmer and realized that the detail shop had left a bunch of Armourall substance all over the clear on the dash...

Only one brightness control - the one on the dash. Good idea to check and see if the lens is dirty.

Torchy2000, You hit the nail on the head. HUD window was covered with crud. Thanks for the tip, that's why I love this forum....
