Default First encounter with a real...

Bonehead on the road this evening...

Driving home tonight after a 2 week overseas TDY and 2 weeks away from my Z, I meet up with this fool.

I was close to home and changing to my turning lane when a Mercedes E55 I had passed earlier decided to get punkish. I noticed this dweeb as he just about lost it (almost hitting me) changing lanes to make a close pass "Ricer" style. I punched it and stayed clear of his fish tail (staying well ahead of him) until he regained control. I figured he was drunk, stupid, or a combination of both and backed off allowing him to pass. Well, he got stuck at the stoplight where I was about to pull up next to him to make my turn home... So what does he do??? He runs the red, turning through the intersection and just misses smacking an on-coming car Then he just about lost it again on a turn just after said intersection. I hate to say it but I was sure hoping he'd loose it big thus removing himself from the gene pool but odds are he'd hurt someone else and be just fine. Anyhow, I just can't believe what some wads will do to "win" on the road. I'm still a bit torqued by the whole event... I'm just glad he didn't hit that on coming car or my Vette for that matter.

Just venting a little

Mahalo guys

Mark

There are a lot of "tools" on the road. Glad you didn't get involved. Watch yourself out there. Your comment about the gene pool about sums it up . I know its very disturbing to witness something like that.

bub is right... Reporting them is best. That way you can at least hope that they will be stopped before they do damage to someone else that is an innocent driver who happens to get in their way... think about that one for a moment...

And, as Dark-Knight said... Welcome home!

And if you THINK you MIGHT have seen something that MIGHT have been a gun in the person's hand, then be sure and mention that as well. Help a person have an 'interesting' day.

Too bad you didn't get the license number and report him to the LEOs. They may not have been able to do much, but at least they may have given him a good talking too. Glad you were able to avoid the idiot.

Accidenet avoidance is one of the reasions I drive a Vette!
I live in " I am so arrogant and self-richeous" N.Virginia.

Sunday I was in my pickup towing my trailer home on a 5 or 6 mile straight road. Turned my left signal on looked left had plenty of room to move into the fast lane 3 or 4 car lengths, and started moving over. About 1/4 of the way through my lane change the guy behind comes speeding up honking his horn and flicking the lights trying to pass me, (this is a 2 lane road) ? Since I had already just about finished my lane change I completed the change. I want to know what could have possibly been going through this guys mind? Then he pulls up on my right side, rolls down his window and starts to do what ever. I flashed him the peace sign (not the finger) and kept on keeping on. Again, what was he going to do? It is probably me because I do not put up with much BS but this happens way, way, way to often. I believe it is N. Virginia because I have lived in 8 states and nothing like this ever happened anywhere else?

Sorry for the rant.

Andy

That car may have been stolen and the driver did not care. I have seen this once before with a Jeep Cherokee. The guy was doing donuts and other squirely things.

He sounds like a real a$$hole. It’s not a bad thing if he does a number on himself, but unfortunately, many times innocent bystanders are hurt or worse.
