Default Tire pressure help

Drove the car today for the first time in several weeks. I know... I should drive it more, but just haven't. I am getting a service tire pressure system display and no pressure display for the left rear when I reset the display. I checked the manual and it states to see dealer for service. I really don't want to do that. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so what is the fix. Thanks for any advice and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

The LR sensor has failed - you have to either try to replace the battery in a sensor that is not designed for user changeable batteries (some here have done it with success) or buy a new sensor. They were only designed to last 5 -7 years....

Gene at Fred Beans had a great price on the older style sensor, and remember that the sensors for the '97 - '00 are not interchangeable with the '01 - '04.

You'll have to break the tire off the rim to change it out (at least the outside bead for sure.....

The only other possibility is that some mischievious person reset your sensor with a magnet and it needs to be re-trained.

There are a number of posts on re-training the sensors.

Try to retrain and if it still doesn't work you need a new sensor!

I've got to go with Randy on this one.

Thanks for the replies. Found the link to the relearn procedure and tried it today. All 4 wheels are now reporting. Can't beat the forum for good information, and the occasional BS.
