I have the 245-45-17 on the front and 275-40-18 on the rear. I was wondering what size I could go up to that would give me a little more width but keep the same diamater. I don't want to get any taller but just a little wider.
Those Z06 sizes are not the same height, this is not to say they will not work though.
245/45-17 Overall Diameter: 25.68 in 652.27 mm
275/40-18 Overall Diameter: 26.66 in 677.16 mm
265/40-17 Overall Diameter: 25.34 in 643.63 mm
295/40-18 Overall Diameter: 26.12 in 663.44 mm
Z06 sizes are a bit shorter in overall height, about an half inch and I am not sure what effect this will have on speed or indicated miles. Also, 295/40-18 tires are reccomended to go on a min. 10 inch rear rim by the tire manufactures, although some have put them on 9.5" rims without much issue it would seem.
You can use this calc to figure how one size compares to another.
