Simply put, I put the lights on; and they pop up when they want to.
There's something loose. Its not in the car I know that; (front nose replaced). So its something in the front of the car. Can someone let me know where I should start.
It could be the controler that's above the right side brake vent, or a bad multi switch. You might want to check all the connectors, to see if they are tight and clean to begin with.
I have a problem with mine that is intermittant as well... The easiest and first "fix" I try each time it happens? Raise and lower the tilt wheel... I think it's in the steering column on mine...
It has always "fixed" it temporarily at least... I need to dig into it!!

Bingo! There is a wire(s) that's almost broken in your multifunction switch. The wiring harness for your light switch/turn sig/cruise control switch runs down the steering column to a connector at the bottom of the dash. Some of these wires get broken with repeated use of the tilt wheel. The wires are routed poorly from the factory.
It's a fairly easy fix. You have to remove the multifunction switch with its wiring harness. You can repair the harness with a splice or buy a new switch. (about $130). The harness is not sold separtely from the switch assembly.
The shop manual says that you have to remove the steering wheel to change out the switch, but it can be done with the wheel still on. I HAVE done it this way.

Do the lights come on? Before you dig into wiring, clean your battery terminals. I didn't believe it either but someone on this forum suggested it and it worked. I haven't had any issues since. It's worth a try.

Cool, thanks Tom!!
It's something I hardly ever think about since the car does not get driven much at night and then only if they don't come on... I'll have to check into this now... Well, maybe I'll wait until it's about 40 degrees warmer!!!
