I have a 2001 triple black convertible with some mods.
Here is what I have had done to the car:
G5X3 Cam
LG Long tube headers
Under pully
Corsa exhaust with x pipe.
I had this work done around October of 2004, when December of 2004 came around and it was inspection time my car would not pass Texas Brazoria county inspection. Brazoria county is about 17 miles or so south of down town Houston.
I drove the car back to LG and all that was changed was the oxygen sensors that are left which is only 2.
This past Friday I tried to get my car inspected again that codes galore. O2 sensors and 4 others showing "NOT READY". I accidentally forgot the print out at home today that has exactly the codes showing but I wanted to get this out today in hopes of someone having some information that may help me.
I do not want to go through this every time I have to get my car inspected.
Is any one else expriencing this type of problem? Any help or feed back would be greatly appreciated.
Ok, so you don't have cats, and you're only running 2 02 sensors, and you're complaining that you can't pass an emissions inspection? That just doesn't make sense. You gotta pay to play.

As Stangkiller said - you want to play, you have to pay. Simple.
Get a tune, delete the rear O2s and the other emissions in the tune and hope for the best. If they discover that the emissions have been disabled, you will be in much bigger trouble than just failing inspection - be warned.
Its not an the emissions test that the car is not passing, when hooked up to the states inspection computer there are 5 codes showing not ready and you are allowed on 2.....my car passed last year and I am wondering if anyone is having the same problems

You need to drive it more. If the PCM was reset they will show as "not ready" until it has a few starts/stops and run time on it. Usually takes a few days of normal driving to re-learn.
In TX as long as the SES light isn't on (on OBD-II cars) it will pass (depending on whether or not the inspector looks for cats or not.) ;-)
Mine would not pass Texas inspection because of HID headlights, had to reinstall stock headlights to pass.
Wow, that's the first I've heard of that! I would have tried a different inspection station. I don't think there is anything stated about the headlights, and since many of the inspectors don't know all the rules.....
My buddy is an inspector, I will inquire on that one.

I took it to Young Chevrolet, last time I make that mistake.

Hi Tim,
If I remember, the car needed an 02 sensor last year, which let the car pass inspection one year ago.
Something happened between then and now because it passed after the headers etc with just an 02 sensor replacement.
You said the battery was changed 1500 miles ago, but has anything else happened since? any codes? was a tech II put on and codes deleted. Dealer updates?
Sorry that you are having the problem. I think you faxed the inspection report, which I will look at, and get back to you.
Thanks for checking on this problem. Yes last year you did change the O2 sensor and I drove back to Houston and my car passed inspection. Since that time nothing has been done to my car in any way. It has not been touched, that is why I'm confused on why it keeps throwing sensors and failing inspections.
