A Corvette Carol
(with apologies to all poets that ever lived...)
The engineers schemed,
The designers dreamed,
The concept was fun,
and thus, the C1!
But that could never be all,
The General never thought small,
In a few years as time flew,
Here now in came the C2!
Now it was all fine and good,
But what to do with that hood?
It should be sleek, like the sea,
Maybe a Stingray? Yes, the C3!
But Oh!, the times grew rough,
Gas rose and insurance got tough,
But the General figured to even the score,
So, for Chrismas that year, here's the C4!
Still the doubters all did shout,
With their imports out and about,
So, on the world scene, we did arrive,
Driving along in our new C5!
That brings us now to this fine new year,
What can be next to give us great cheer?
Well, to continue along with our joy and kicks,
Here comes old St. Nick with our new C6!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, etc...
