You're not going to find many people that like the black wheel look so don't let that get you down. I'm slowly working on refinishing mine just like that. I figure I'll put a set of cheap all-season tires on them that'll be good for daily driver duty and save my good wheels/tires for fun time.
I like it better with your other rims. Maybe it's the photo? Are they flat black? And it looks like there is a saw blade in the snow? What's up with that! Ok, maybe it's a leaf.
I thought about doing it as well. I would get them powder coated rather then painting them flat black. Scew what others think and go for it if you like it!
Photo of the wheels is a little dark, probably due to your camera compensating for the bright snow.
Can't really get the full effect of how they look in the photo.
There was a photo of another guy who did this but kept the outer 1/4" raised edge polished, didn't look too bad, but I can't say i'm a fan of solid black wheels.
