Default C5R Block Information????

Guys and Gals,

I was searching through the general C5 forum a few months back when I came across a post that had a link to the entire casting process for the C5R blocks. The article talked all about the techniques used and how "special" this block was! I did a few searches but I couldnt find anything. Maybe one of you guys has the link and could post it for me!!!

Thanks!

Rian

Hello Rian,

The following link should provide you the information and interesting developmental history and testing of the GM C5R Racing Block vs. Sleeved Blocks. Frankly, I am definitely an advocate for the GM C5R 427 engine block. And, I am currently acquiring the rest of my preferred engine bolt on parts (heads, cam, forged rotating assembly, etc.) to complete the build, on this very tried and true racing legend engine for the Corvette C5 motorsports enthusiast. Enjoy:
