i saw this supercharged 2003 z06 on ebay selling with a no reserve but with a water damaged title, so it seemed very fishy to me....also i thought if i did purchase this car it would be hard to sell in the future with that title....and i also didnt know if the car was truly damaged by the water althogh it says it wasnt.
lol...i know its sold thanks....just wanted to see what you guys thought...if it was a good buy? at one point i wanted to bid and buy it but thought about it and wasnt 100% sure it was a good choice
Problems with flood cars can be extremely numerous, as well as the fact that it can cause pre-mature rusting of the car. Repairs are EXTREMELY expensive as well, all the wiring, electrical baisically has to be redo, not to mention water in the motor rusts it out.....BAAAD news
These particular vehicles (title states "flooded"), can be a literal Pandora's Box of a whole host of problems: Completely shorted grounds and harnesses; damaged computer systems; shorted electrical switches throughout from front to back; molded/fungi in insulation, ducting, HUD, firewall, and, interior damage; rust throughout the entire drivetrain and exhaust system; and, the list is endless. Caveat Emptor!
If you werent %100 sure then you made the right choice!!!
yea i hope i did...because for 32,600 for a supercharged Z06 is a hell of a deal....so i fealt guilty at the end for not bidding and winning....but i guess from what everyone is sayin i think i made the right choice

You did make the right choice...be glad someone else bought it. The comment above regarding "Pandora's Box" is right on the money.
There's nothing more sensitive in the C5 than it's electrical system and God knows what's going to crop up in that car down the road after it's been submerged.
The person that owned it when it was flooded had good reason to get rid of it...probably totalled by the insurance company...who then dumped it to the lowest bidder...who then did the absolute minimum to get it running...and now it's at a stealership to become someone else's headache. Be glad it's not you.
