When I first got my car ('03 A4) a little over a year ago, I drove it a couple of months with the stock airbox. I'd get about 24.5 mpg going to work, and about 29 on the highway.
After a couple of months, I installed a Blackwing and my gas mileage now is about 20.5 to work (close to a 20% drop) and on the highway is about 27.
I don't drive it any harder now than I did at first ... easier if anything.
When I upgraded to the stinger, my gas mileage tanked until I got it tuned, turns out the the computer was making up for the extra air by making the engine run way, way to rich... I am guessing that you may have the same issue. Steve
agreed with vette 4 fun, probably just too rich now. with mods in my sig, car is still rich acc'd. to wideband, even with -10% enrichment on handheld. after fast intake and nw 90 tb, will dyno tune again
