Congrats YomasterScott! I'm a new owner as of yesterday.
I understand the feeling!!! I had a HUGE grin on my face
driving it home.
3 hours at dealership + $$ = 04 MRII Vert w/ 8k miles.
Turns out that December is a great month to buy drop-tops in the
Northwest.
I had been car hunting for the last month and had been test driving 350Z's, Infinity G35 Coupes, etc. They just didn't do anything for me.
Then I drove this.....
Neat story... Found previous owner name in owner's manual.
Wife said she worked with a guy that has the same name...
Sends him an email.. whaddya know, it was his vette!!!
He traded it in earlier last week to the same dealership where he
bought it.
He's owned several vettes over the years and this was his favorite.
He hated to part with it, but had to buy a truck, he's building a new
house several hundred miles away and is doing a lot of hauling.
Says car is flawless, kept it garaged and only drove it on sunny days.
I was worried not knowing the history even though I had a carfax and the manufacturer's warranty.
He also has the original front license plate cover that was missing and an aftermarket tinted wind blocker.
Talk about a score and a coincidence!
I was a lurker on this forum for about 4 hours before I bought the car just to get some info on the C5.
I know very little about them and it looks like everyone here is friendly and more than willing to share info.
I just want a half-way nice day to take her out. For now I'll just make repetetive trips to the garage to pet her and read the forums...

Happy Holidays everyone!
