I just installed a Borla Quad Oval Stinger Cat back system on my 04 6spd coupe. I am considering also adding an x-pipe. Is there one x-pipe that works better than the others in reducing or eliminating the "1500 RPM drone?"
I had that drone in mine. I installed a Bassani X-Pipe and I would say 90-95% of it went away.
That's great news -- been wanting to do the same w/my Borla Quads. I hate to use 6th gear because of the drone; consequently, gas mileage has suffered, although that's not a major consideration.

I installed the Borla Stinger Round Quad's and also the Borla X pipe just to have a matching system, figure you couldn't go wrong this way. I like it, I have no Drone at all.
I went with Corsa - to keep a matched system - good results for me.
Eliminated 90% of "poping" and provides louder acceleration sounds; which, has become "like heaven" to hear.
