I found out today how crappy my wide BFG KDWs are in snow, I have a set of stock Wagon Wheels just sitting around waiting for tires, even have sensors on them! .....I know a lot of you out there run your C5 all winter long in the snow. I would like suggestions from you that do about snow/winter tires and comments about the various offerings that are available in 'stock' C5 sizes..... to fit my unused Wagon Wheels.
I personally use the Goodyear M+S tires in stock size. They are runflat and they are expensive. I've heard of some people running non-stock sized tires like Blizzaks on skinnier sizes, like 225 in the front and 255 in the rear.
I drive mine daily and don't bother with snow tires, I run Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S tires all year round. These tires do extremely well in a few inches of snow and if the snow is deeper than that, the car itself is simply too low to be driven anyhow, as I find the snow hits the underbelly too much. So for those rare days when we get a lot of snow all at once, I keep the C5 parked. But for the rest of the winter, the Pirellis work amazingly well.
I run Blizzaks on my DD (96GT) and they are the greatest thing since sliced pie Last yr I got caught in a 12 inch snow storm plus drifts and was able to make it home. Mustangs are exactly known for handling well in the snow if you know what I mean!
From what I have heard, the Goodyear EMT M&S are pretty decent tires, but expensive.
I went the GY EMT M&S route too. I had them mounted on some wagon wheels. They ARE quite expensive, but they should last several years, since I doubt they get more then 1500 miles all winter.
the ones you have on it are perfect snow tires. Keep it parked out of the snow and they are perfect snow tires
Honestly not trying to be a smart axx but..... I just bought me a beater car for the winter months.... FWD 93 Saturn 1k$ 200K miles but if it snows rains ice ect I just drive it... saves miles on the Z06 + its safe and sound at home

Your beater actually cost less than a set of Goodyear M+S tires...
