Chevy power door locks not working right
I've got a '99. The driver's power lock works the first time, but if you try to open/ close them more than once it kind of slowly dies and won't do anything if you do 3 times. It perks back up after a few minutes rest.
The passenger side PDL doesn't work. I've taken off the door panels and got my hands in there. When you hit the switch it doesn't move but you can feel it try. The manual mechanisms work fine and have been lubed. Do the PDLs slowly die or can these be repaired? Maybe Patches has a online tutorial?
Very detailed article on a thread by OB1Vette search thread door locks and see very detailed pics on relays part numbers and how to fix..... need some help pm me.
The door control modules are a known problem.... fixing these components have been address here on the forum... also the wires inside the accordian duct in the door jam of the A pillar have also been at issue... the wires get kinked and sometimes crushed...
