Race Deck Flooring Question

I realize the difference in price is huge, but so is the installation process.
My situation is that I have a new construction home with a three car garage, the concrete will be about six months old, when I move in. I live in New Jersey, where temperatures and road salt are concerns.
VCT is not recommended for temps below 55 degrees, but I have seen it done on this and other forums in non-heated garages.
What will happen to the concrete after years of use? Will the concrete be okay after 10 years of use with Race Deck? Does the concrete floor under the deck dry after cleaning?
Any long time Race Deck and VCT owners please check in and offer your thoughts.
Not really interested in doing an epoxy type system.
I have read that Costco and Sears sell similiar products, but is it really Race Deck? And MotoMat is another option I have seen.
Thanks in advance.

Also having a home built in NJ. I'd love to do the garage floor in something, but have heard many different opinions. Lets hear it. Any checkerboard designs out there?

Any Race Deck owners out there?
Beach Dude-See if you can find a supporting vendor that carries Race Deck and see what we can do.
I would be alittle worried if I was constantly dealing with snow/mud up north...down here in Florida, the summer rain wasn't too bad but I did sweep it off after pulling in from a heavy rain. It was nice to be able to pull up a section if I needed to clean a spill or something.
I'm moving to NC soon....heck I'll take it with me if the house buyer doesn't want it....try that with VCT!
Costco still has a great price. Available only in Checkerboard and Charcoal at those prices.

Whatever you decide, Good Luck.

Right now only an LS6 and an Accord.
I saved your photos for my future reference. It looks great. Where did you get the flooring, direct from Race Deck or another vendor?

Thanks. I bought directly from Race Deck; I think they're in Utah. Build the garage and the LS engines will follow

I have RaceDeck.
I have a three car garage.
The RaceDeck has been in for over 4 years.
I love it, except for the following:
1. DO NOT use a floor jack on it - it will leave indents where the jack wheels sat.
2. You MUST leave a 'edge' of approximately 3/8 inch all the way around (where it intersects walls, OR stantions in the garage). Failure to do so will result in the RaceDeck expanding (when hit by the sun) and buckling. Fix is to re- install the product (don't even dare to ask how I know
).Good news:
- product is great overall
- easy clean up, replacement of tiles is not to bad (cost or process)
- you can reinstall in another home if need be (I would not do so, too much work)
- the product WILL PAY FOR ITSELF over the years, I.e., if you calculate the cost of 'painting' the floor every two years, in six years the RaceDeck is paid for
).Hope this helps - as a note I have tried the other 'solutions', and will never go back from RaceDeck

I used a concrete stain on my then new garage floor 8 years ago. The salesman said it penetrates the concrete..."It will never flake or wear through". After 1 year, it started to wear through. 7 years later, looks like total crap!
I definitely need an alternative.

Now it does not look as good as the rest of the neat items out there. But I wanted something that will look the same all the time and be extremely functional the neat great look was not a priority. Since retired I do some car work for friends and I wanted something that was easy to clean. I wash our cars all winter in the garage (I have a center drain) and I wanted something that I could squeegie up the water quickly. Floor jacks, jack stands, oil spills, etc, do not bother this. EASY clean up.

That looks great!
Do you have any trouble with slipping or sliding during the winter? I am (from my response above) disappointed with the vinyl sheeting and my replace it.

Whatever you decide, Good Luck.

Those garage floors look awesome!
I painted mine last year, took the time to pressure wash, acid wash, prime, paint and seal. One year later it looks like total SH*T!
Gues I'll be investing in a new floor this summer...

Race Deck is at www.racedeck.com
Thanks for all of the comments, keep em coming.
