I'm hoping these pictures comes up...I found that the inside of the wheel has clear on it. Most of it has peeled away leaving the rough and damaged aluminum (52k miles) exposed. My question is: Should I clean this area up, paint and clear? Polishing is not my favorite option. Has anyone painted the inside wheel area? If so, I'd like to see pics.

Reason: more info.
I wish my wheels looked that good on the inside. It is a long winter. Take your time to polish and seal the inner rim. It will make you feel prouder next summer when you can show it off and act humble about how great they look.
I just purchased a set of thin spokes that have the same problem, but not as bad as yours and have been thinking about stripping and repolishing them. Anyone have recommendations on how to do it? Also what do you use to reclear the wheels after polishing them? While I'm on the subject does anyone have a bent, broken, damaged forged thin spoke wheel that I can practice on? I'll gladly pay the shipping or I can pick up if in the Detroit area. Thanks for any input.
