Default Winter blues...

Well here I am sitting at work wondering how my car is doing in the storage garage I rented for it. Poor thing is just sitting there for nearly 3 weeks now and I'm sitting here tossin 1k out the window per month (between the car and the garage) and nothing to show for it (must drive Z06!)....until lunch today.... I decided to go get it out since it will be clear roads for another 4 days yet. Headed out at lunch drove 4 towns over to get it. Hopped out of the Camaro and into the Z06 and BAM huge **** eating grin on my face. Ah yes now I remember why and I wouldn't have it any other way

Gonna check all the fluids tonight and get her washed tomorrow. *does the no snow chant* the longer there is no snow the better!

That's worse than the Chinese torture method

Well, at least when you do finally drive it, you'll get more satisfaction than the rest who are driving theirs every day

I know what you mean, I have to walk by my Z and look at her sexy lines under the car cover But with the crappy road and temps in the single digits at nights for the last 3 weeks it will be awhile before she gets out....... The snow did melt today. Man I am glad I don't have payments...( Last payment was last month)I financed my 04 Z for 6 months. The payments were high at $5870.00 a month

I had mine out yesterday..
Its freezing here in PA, but the roads are pretty decent.. No ice anymore..

So I took my EBZ out to the mall to do some shopping.. Parked it way out in no mans land, all by its lonesome, under a huge florescent light.. IT looked awesome. Gorgeous car..

I just kept saying out loud...
Its pure sex...

LOL...

Why not just get a great car cover and store it at your house instead of renting a storage unit? I didn't have a garage for the first year I owned mine... it didn't break

My street isn't particularly wide and there are cars parked on both sides (residential so no worries there) fairly wooded area. It's fine in the warmer months and I do have a car cover. The problem is when the plows come by they pointblank blast sand into the vehicles and a couple years ago one kicked large chunks of ice onto my Camaro Z28 dented the hood in 12 places. I do not want to subject my Z06 to that kind of treatment.

You might be thinking park it in the driveway... well the hill I am on is incredibly steep even at stock height and going at an angle there is no way the vette is getting up there.

It's suppose to be in the 50's here today. My car is coming out soon and I'm going driving. I'll bring it back home this afternoon, give it a good wash and into the garage it'll go. Maybe give it a quick coat of wax this evening.

Just walked outside and it's 65 out at 0645. Wish you all had this kind of weather too. Shot of JD will help change the effects.
Happy Holidays.

Yeah, I'm headed to San Diego on business for 2 weeks mid-January. I only wish I could bring the Z with me.

The only saving grace about winter is taking the sleds out and running 120 MPH across the snow.......And not having to lookout for the law....

That's the problem.....it warms up and everything melts. We have 44 in the Windy and the side roads are all wet.....no Z is going through that mess. May be mid next week it will dry out and be in the 30's.

I feel your pain!!!!!

In fact the pain was so bad I uncovered the Z06 and took'er out this afternoon!!!!

I put her away for the winter, pampered and covered in the garage, but it hit 52 degrees and was sunny here in the Mass. Got back about half hour ago but man it felt GREAT!!!!

I'm going crazy!!!!!!
Put my Z to bed on 12/5. Covered ...Battery Tender installed.
This is my first year going through this, as I got the car late March 2005. Never thought is was going to be this difficult not driving it.

I drove my C6Z the other day, just had to. It actually worked pretty well going up my icy driveway. The roads are pretty clear, just wet, but there is no way to hook up 500+HP in the cold and wet. For those of you that know what a "frost heave" is, I can report that it works well over them. I am really looking forward to Global Warming, too bad it is only a degree or so
