I get DTC p0327 CH, which is due to a faulty front knock sensor. I inspected the knock sensor and it was corroded...so I ordered a new one from GMPartsDirect. My problem is I am driving to Florida next week and the new knock sensor will not arrive in time to install it before I leave.
My wife has agreed to go in the C5, which was quite a nice gesture on her part...she is not as fond of the C5 as we are, to say the least!
Here's my question: Am I being foolish to drive to Florida (about 13 hours) with the faulty knock sensor? Can it cause problems other than throwing codes? I know it sends the PCM timing adjustment signals.
