I'm covering mine this afternoon. I washed it last night, and plan on two coats of Zaino today. I think that answers your question.

Use some Maguiars NXT detailer if it is not too dirty and then use the cover. This works fine for me in S. Calif.

Why would I cover the car when dirty? It takes away the purpose of covering in the first place.

Cover ONLY when it is spotless.....
I would NEVER put a cover on any car that was not 100% clean.

No, never.
If it's dirty it'll stay uncovered in the garage until I have time to clean it properly, which isn't usually that long.
