Default Tiger Shark Front Bumper Help

My '04 C5 is in the shop and the Tiger Shark front bumber is not fitting up well. The mechanic has never done one, but I'm too deep in it to go elsewhere. He has the right attitude but we need help. The gaps are good everywhere except at the very center of the hood. It's very tight there and gets better as you move left and right of center line. The front absorber is currently not installed as the machanic was trying to get a good fit before he shaved the absorber. Also, at both sides where the TS bumper meets the wheel well we have an "off set". The two do not meet up on a continous tagent. Also, all bolt are on and all holes lined up well.

Part made by Starcraft

If you have any experence in this I welcome your comments...thanks, Fast Eddie

In general, this product tends to fit well. However, extra work to shim and align body panels should always be expected whether the body panel is made by an inexpensive manufacturer, or, a high dollar race bodies shop. The fitment should not be unresolvable by any competent autobody shop. On the other hand, although it might be a bit of an inconvenience, you might consider sending it back to the vendor for an exchange (PROVIDED that the front bumper has not yet been modified and painted). Good luck to you.

I had the same issue; there is an adjustment on the bumper that allows a change of height. The front bumper need's to be off the car, the adjustment resides above the bumper. It take's several attempt's to make it correct.

I had interference between the Styrofoam and the fascia; I took a saw to styrofoam to make it fit.

btw, check the fit between the fascia and the fender. I had a tough time achieving a smooth transition.

It was a bit disappointing considering the cost of the part, it did not meet OEM quality.
