I know there have been numerous threads on here concerning X pipes. I like my stock exhaust on my 03, but don't really like the so called "Motortboat" sound.
My question is: I would like to know if I install an X pipe on my factory exhaust, will it get rid of the famed motorboat sound?
I figured you guys being the proffessionals you are, someone out here would know.
It will get rid of the motorboat sound and the "jingle" that some folks like myself got after installing after market exhaust. It also got rid of most of the decel pop and gurgle. I kinda liked those sounds but the tradeoff was worth it.

H-pipe (stock), and, X-pipe (custom aftermarket) do help to reduce, and, "smooth out" popping, jingling, and, other noises typical in decel. However, some of us prefer a more muscular note emanating from the exhaust. And, therefore, eliminate the X-pipe entirely. The choice is yours. Good luck.
