Anyone have this? How is the noise? BB Bullet by itself is at the right volume in my opinion, i'm worried it'll be too loud if I do LTs, especially since I have a convertible. Those that have it, what do you all think?
I dont have cats.
I have an X-pipe.
I have bullets on the way.
Ive heard bullets with cats and it wasnt THAT bad.
Im sure Ill like it but I love it loud.
My last car (SS) was a 244/248 .6/.6 109.5 lsa cam with 3" dumps in a stalled auto. It wasnt too loud for me.
As long as it a deep tone I dont mind it at all.
You will get alot of opinions from people that I call iRacers.
People that have never had any experience but have heard others on the internet talk about it. Or they have a friend of a freind of a freind who had one.
The best advice I can give you is to meet up with some people that have that setup and go listen for yourself

With a convertible I don't think I will be able to go without cats, my friends TA without cats smells HORRIBLE, I don't think I could cruise around like that with the top down.
You're right it's all in the difference of opinion and I really do have to hear it for myself, I'm just curious as to what other experinces are. Right now I LOVE my BB Bullet, I just don't know how it'll sound with the LTs, so I just wanted opinions on loudness.
Go to your local Corvette Club AutoX event. You will find a lot of cars with a lot of combinations. LTs without cats and B&B would be somewhat loud. Ofcourse, whats loud for you might be perfectly normal for someone else
A friend of mine's got LTs with Z06 Ti Catback. Its vert quiet at idle but at WOT its a whole different story
I have the B & B Bullets with Dynatech long tubes. The long tube headers did not make it that much louder, just slightly louder and maybe a little deeper. It's the Bullets that make it louder. My system came with high flow cats. I had the Bullets on for a while before I added the headers, X pipe etc., so I am speaking from experience. Adding a big cam will make a difference though.

At WOT mine sounds crazy.
I had the same thing only with PRT's my buddy did the same thing again with Route 66
the Route 66 are louder at idle the Prts are louder at WOT but not at idle and the Bullits are DEAFANING at WOT but not that bad at normal excellerating, it just depends on how loud you want. The other thing is that its a lot quieter in the car as the exhuast is behind you - you dont hear what everyone else hears. So the only way to decide is by riding in the cars with the differant setups NOT standing outside. The other other thing to remember is the louder it is the more UNWANTED (LEO)attention you get
LT's, no cats, B&B Bullets on my MN6 Pace Car. It sounds "Bad to the Bone". Nice idle and normal gear changing...but get on it just a little and you are going to ROAR! Loud Too loud ...something you will have to determine for yourself

I have SLP Loudmouths, kinda similar to Bullets.... I don't know how some people can say there car did not get that much louder with headers cuz my car got crazy loud when I added LT's with hi-flow cats.. I guess it's all about personal taste and everyone's ear is different. Sure the Cat-back does make a good difference, but Headers will make anything louder at WOT.

Good luck
Well, you have SLP's not B & B's so I should ask you how you can question what I am saying without having my system. You are just guessing, I am speaking from experience. Besides, the guy that you quoted has no cats. That makes a huge difference.
Note: I did say my car is loud at WOT. It was also loud at WOT before I added the long tubes. The original question was will the long tubes make it much louder. Answer is still no.

I had the B&B bullets without L/T's and it sounded great without being overpowering. Now I did an H/C swap, LG L/T's and 3" duals with random tech X pipe and high flow cats. It is very loud at WOT, but not too bad cruising. It is mellow until about 4000 RPM and then gets loud. If you do open track days, many tracks will not let you run with this setup because it is about 15db above the limit. If you are not concerned about the person that you are passing at WOT then go with this setup.
First hand experience here:
LGLT w/random tech cats, B&B quad-tip Bullets, convertible MN6
It's very loud and personally I love it...when I get on the track, you definitely know when I'm coming around the track....just have to stay off of it around the LEOs. Funny thing, the older I get the quieter it seems
