HI i,m going to buy lambo door to my car is it anybody out there having problem with that kind of door or is it only positive..i think its look awesome
I'm one of the few that doesn't think it looks ricerish... I think it looks great... but wouldn't do it. All I've heard is bad about them. Poor quality and the doors don't match up nearly as good as the factory doors. Not worth the $1200 price tag IMO.
i've looked into it,though i'm not a fan of them.looked at a install done by a manufacture of the doors.fitment was terrible, depending on the company you either have to hack up the door harnesses to lenghten them or modify them to work.sag issues over time, you have to cut some of the body to get them to work[looks like @%&*],bla-bla.
short and sweet, for the price,i would spend the hay on something else.

I HAVE THEM! BOO! Bought the car with them on it(only way to do them) the fenders sag. I have to shave them down for it to work smoothly. nothing aligns. doors close poorly. I was thinking about selling my hinges for $680(price of new tires) and just buying the old stock hinges from the dealership ($150) The ONLY good part is THE LOOKS!!!! The looks are endless and everywhere you go. People think it makes getting in and out easier. Quite the opposite. the doors pop up when open a little bit. And you must have the door open to a certain point inorder for them to go up and in a tight parking lot it is no good. they dont have that 'lock point' stock doors do. you have to be soo careful. PM me if I haven't TOTALLY turned you off to them. good luck with your decision.

For your own sake, really do your due diligence on this option. And, you will find that this mod is far more involved than you realize: Not only is installation a concern involving some cutting, bolting, AND, welding to properly secure the kit to the pillar door frame, but, also trimming of the door panels. Moreover, the constant complaint is that when closing the doors, one must be sure to align the door before slamming it shut, OR, you will hit the door jamb inserts causing damage to both door and door sill jambs. When visiting at several high profile automobile shows, it was noticed that the doors can sway quite noticeably in the wind (while open and vertical) causing stress to the mounting points. Customer service may be problematic. In fact, there are several provider-manfacturers for the three main kits available. However, litigation (as of last year) may have now finally entered the arena by the originator of the kit, against the other "copy cat" vendors. Therefore, be informed, be aware. Good luck to you.

If you do a search on the forum you will find numerous folks who have had trouble with these doors. I can't remember anyone who said they were completely happy overall. If you still are determined to do it, there are at least two brands of hinge kits out there. One seems to be better (or less bad) than the other according to what's been written here.
I don't have them but I have a problem with them. Hey, Lambo doors, get it. They're for Lambos. If you don't think they rice out a Vette then you prob. like neon and ironing boards too. How bout a Miami Vice prancing horse body kit. And yeah, some Viper side pipes. Just say NO to rice.

I have them and although I like the look, the fitment and door closing problems are a nightmare. Check out my thread:

There have been several posts about the lambo doors here. From what I can tell, they all say it looks good (not my cup of tea), but the fit and hassle of installation is terrible.
