Hello, I'm an old guy who has fooled around with vettes and Camaros since the 4 barrel-327 was the biggest engine in the vette . Live in central NC. I have an '02 ZO6 which was Magnusen SC'd for a couple of years (among the first 6 in the nation with that kit) but I switched that out for a C5R 427 in Sept. 04. This is Nascar country and I was lucky enough to get Charlie Hempfield (who has built at least one Daytona 500 winner in his time) to build the engine. Its a gem. I put a Procharger D1SC on it earlier this year. But frankly its not a racer, grandfather cam with a smooth idle, and its really mostly a garage queen that goes out cruising once or twice a week and to car shows three or four times a year. Only been to a strip a couple of times: can't run on most because it has no rollcage.
I like just about every type of car, MGs, Austin Healeys, Porsches, SuburU STIs, Mustangs, and particularly Camaros, but vettes are my first love.

Welcome Lee. Your experiences sound interesting. I like all sorts of cars too, and have enjoyed many recent decades including being aware of the last half of the 40's. I had a 327," but it had hydraulic lifters; it was a 1960--after the 348's came out in 1958.
Welcome to the forum Lee. This is a great place to share info and learn new things. I'm another car nut and have owned 27 cars 22 years. Yeah, I'm car crazy, and it seems like everyone else on this forum is too
welcome.....we are all car nuts here to a certain degree. I, if i had the money, would be mod crazy, but i am limited to choice mods, for now....again, welcome

Kinda of new here myself, lurked more than posted. Use my Z in much the same way as you. A little crusing, a little show and shine, a little spirited driving, and a whole lot of fun.
Welcome fellow Carolinian. I'm in SC and only drive mine a couple times a week myself. In the process of trying to find a way to personalize my 02 Z. Sounds like yours definately has your own personal touch.
