I just put a vararam in my 2003 vert and it works great. Would a Granitelli mass air sensor help and if so how much ? What about a new throttle body and what do you recommend ?
What else do you plan on doing with the car? Personally, and I am sure others will post on this, I wouldn't buy a new MAF and I have been told that upgrading a throttle body is a waste of money for the little hp you get unless you do some seriously modding. Get some used headers.
Get yourself some headers and a Tune. A tune will accomplish exactly the same thing as an aftermarket MAF sensor will. Which is. Cars generally run a bit rich from the factory, the aftermarket sensors send a slightly off reading so your car leans out the mix a tad bit. Which will make a little more power. All that can be done in tuning as well as many additional things.
For a $~1000 set of headers and a tune you could gain quite a bit. I got the LG Pro Street headers, Haltech Stinger intake, and a tune and netted over 30rwhp and 25rwtq on an otherwise completely stock ~100k mile LS1
