Well i've had my new Nitto 555 Extremes on for a week or so now.
There on an old set of wheels for autocrossing. What a difference in ride and handeling.
These tires are GREAT !! Someone want to buy a set of goodyears ???
Now I hate runflats even more. When you remember what they are for no wonder they ride so Darn rough. I just bought them and they still have 7/32 of tread. I'm tempted to go to my Goodyear guy and see if he'll make me a deal.
I'd rather have my air pump and plug kit in car and if all else fails AAA and cell phone.
I will never buy another set of run flats. Nittos were $700 and I don't even want to remember what it cost me for the run flats.
14k out of the Factory Runflats with a crappy ride
65k out of Nitto NT-555s with great handling and a great ride
The crazy part is I drove the car harder with the Nittos
I upsized my wheels and unfortunately Nitto did not make my new sizes. Now I am running BFG KDWs. If Nitto did make my new sizes I would be sold on those for life. Great tire
If you want to run EMT Goodyears, use the gatorbacks. They are "V" rated and very good for auto-cross. Very expensive, but good. Much,Much better then the "OEM runcraps they put on the car at the factory.Yep, I do have a set for sale. Not because they ain't good but because I already purchased a set of Michelin ZP's. The gatorbacks came on the used wheels I bought off of Jazze74's show Vette with the gullwing doors. He bought 505's a diffrent size so I got his old wheels, tires, and sensors off of his 2002. I have them on E-Bay for sale. ITEM #4600744090
