200,000...probably more like a zillion. GM has been using this design for damn near 30 years it seams. I had an 85 camaro with the design.

i dont like the stock **** either.i am also looking for a aftermarket automatic shift **** but there arent as many options as there are for a stick.

I haven't been able to find many for automatics. Tons of options for manuals and it seems everyone with a manual has a custom shift ****. All of us autos are stuck with the 20 year old plastic shift ****.

Get a auto to manual adapter and you can install any manual **** you like.
Almost all of the pics above have the adapter - including mine.
