Default Superlift or Direct Lift

I know, I know. This is an exhausted thread, but I am curious to hear from owners of these two lifts (the SuperLifts SJ-7000 or the Direct Lift Pro Park 7).

I am just about ready to pull the trigger, and am wondering if anyone feels that the Super Lift is not work the extra $400-$500 (equally equipped, with options and shipping).

Any info would be much appreciated...

THANKS!

The facts:

Superlift: 5 year warranty and American hardware. Also the guy I bought it from, Tony, is way cool and great to deal with.

Direct Lift: similar design, a few different distributors across the country and 1 year warranty only... (I think?) Correct me if I'm wrong.

They both use American Pumps and are possibly made by the same manufacturer, I'm not sure.

The Superlift is set up nicely for our Vettes.. no clearance issues when driving on and off, welds are very nice and it comes in RED.

I didn't buy the wheels, I didn't need them. One might only use them a couple times and that it...

I simply got a more warm and fuzzy when looking at the Superlift at SEMA... The Direct Lift was fine...

Do you mind me asking what you are paying for the Superlift? I'll be in the market soon. I am just starting to look around.

Thanks guys. Both of those lifts seem like a great deal. For some reason, I had it in my mind that these things cost $4K+.

I don't mind saying... mine was $2650 for the XLT which is 20 inches longer and 10 inches taller... It was $400 more than the standard model ($2250). I got two jack trays, three drip pans and stayed with the steel ramps... They are not that heavy and I'm a big boy, I can lift 'em!

They shipped to me here in Lincoln. I did negotiate a better deal by waiting for an install locally (they actually installed one 350 miles away if you call that local!) and then dropped mine off at my house for me, right in the garage where I assembled it. Sweeeeeeeeeeet!

Wow... That is good. I was able to talk him down to $2700 so far, but am guessing that there is more "room" to negotiate....

Thanks again for the extremely useful information VRROOOM2...

What about when you move, can lifts be broken down and moved ?
What's the weight of the heaviest piece ?

Don't forget about the Revolution lift made by Rotary. A sponsor of this web site sells them. Contact Barry at X-autoproducts I am sure he will do a group buy if you guys ask... The lift is made in USA and I am very happy with my choice. Plus you can get it in several different colors

I looked at Bend Paks at SEMA... They were ok... All of the lifts I looked at were fine... It's just that some have a few details that are different and were what I wanted.

Best examples are the wider drive thru of a Superlift - 98.5", the additional warranty and standard ramps (36" long) that allowed me to drive my Vette on and not rub...

As was stated earlier the lifts can be "taken apart" (I hope it doesn't break down! Lol) and yes, the runway with the hydraulic cylinder weighs in around 300-350 depending on length. The other one is much lighter!!

Just so you guys know, anyone that buys a Superlift, I have somewhat detailed instructions on the assembly process (Written only). I meant to take pics... DUH!! The instructions that come with it are fine, but I was given a few additional pointers to make for less effort and lifting, so I can share those if you want. PM me for them.

I can tell you how cool it is to have three cars in my 2 -1/2 stall garage!! I love it every morning when I drive out and don't have to scrape windows ro snow off the car!!

I'm curious to know what lift you decided to get. I, too, am looking at these 2 units. If everything else is equal, the Direct Lift Pro Park 7 looks like the better deal at about $1,895 + freight. It's almost too good when you add in the 'free' add-ons.
