Default Just one year ago!!

I bought my C-5, 99 mag red vert blk and blk, when my wife and I were heading down to the dealership last year to look at this car I was on my cell talking to other possible sales I just wasn't sure I wanted a convertible, I had never owned one and we don't live in the warmest part of the country, I had just sold my C-4 the night befor and had a fairly large down payment for bargaining also a few months earlier we bought a new Chevy Suburban form this same dealer and the salesman is my friends brother whom we trust completely, it took about an hour to get there and when we pulled in they had it detailed and looking good, a guy once said to me the two best day's in a vette owners life is the day he buy's it and the day he sell's it, well I took it for a drive pure heaven this was a very clean car, this was the 10th car I had looked at buying but I still wasn't sure about buying a vert so I made them a ridiculously low offer I was ready to walk but they said yes and I was a vert owner now one year has passed and it has been the best day ever since this is the funnest car I have ever driven, we had a great summer the top was always down my wife and I went for drives I just love this car, I had the honor of driving in a parade also driving a parade lap with the prom King and Queen form our kids Highschool next year they want me to get four more verts for the rest of the kids, this has been a great year and I can't wait until spring so I can drive it again, to all "HAPPY NEW YEAR"

Congratulations to you! What a great story. And, I have to agree with you, one of the most exciting days in an motorsports enthusiasts life, is the very day you finally get to pick up the car of your dreams. And, it sounds like you and your lovely wife have enjoyed many, many miles of smiles. Well, here is to many, many more. Cheers.

Well said Andy,

I don't know about the day I sell it, but I sure am enjoying all the days in between. The Corvette is so much more than just a car, it really is a lifestyle. The friends we've made along the way, the joy of the long road trip, the people I've met here on the forum, I could just go on and on. Everyone should own at least one Corvette in their lifetime just to experience it firsthand.

I'll chime in and agree with my friends Eden and Paul....(two people BTW that I would not have had the pleasure of "knowing" had it not been for owning a Corvette and discovering the Corvette Forum).

My Vette is my first - and the day I finally picked it up was the most incredible day...one that I will never forget. I sincerely hope that there is never a day that I have to be Vette-less, or that I have to get rid of the one I have now. I truly love the car, and the lifestyle that accompanies it. I half-kiddingly tell my family that I want to be buried with the car.

I'm happy for you that your C5 has met and exceeded all of your expectations - I know it has for me! Happy New Year!

Default You probably now realize this fact of Corvette ownership.

I have owned 5 Corvettes since 1979 and the only way to be happy when selling one is to trade it in for a brand new Corvette. Save the Wave and continue to enjoy.

Thanks for sharing your story. It only been three months but I'm in love with my vert too. There is nothing like taking the top down and letting the wind blow through your hair, and letting the sun hit your face. I'm smiling while typing this message.
