Default Installed the Bilsteins!

Installed the shocks yesterday, finally got rid of the F-45 system. Quite a difference- car rides likes it's on rails. The Bilstiens combined with the Hotchkiss sways makes a big difference over stock.
Now that the suspension is complete, exhaust is next!

Happy New Year to all!

I know your saying it's complete but did you ever consider stiffer springs?

If you don't have it yet, need to consider adding in your suspension upgrade. I have Z06 springs, Bilstein Sports shock and Hotchkis Sway bar then lowered it about an inch = awesome handling (IMHO)

what did you end up doing to de-program your F45 system? I'm doing the same thing except I ended up putting on Z06 bars instead.

I'm planning on having Corvette Mike re-program the computer. WCC was not sure he could do it and I didn't want to waste a service visit. Mike said it was not a problem.

One of these days, I'll get around to installing mine. Maybe when it stops raining . I'll def be reporting my evaluation. Right now, my biggest complaint seems to the that the rear rebound damping is too weak. I'm hoping the Billys fix that.

Good work! I did mine last summer and yes it rides like on rails. I used Z06 hardware. Were you shocked at how heavy those F45 shocks are?? I think I got a 40 pound weight savings out of this mod. Dealer did the install...only charged me $25 for the F45 deprogramming ...lots more for the hard labor!

Yes, those F-45's were heavy. Interesting, didn't think about the weight savings but you are correct. Another added benefit. Now if I go to a Ti exhaust I'll reduce more weight!!

I did the same set up except Z06 Sway Bars, with Bilsteins, just need alingment now, but I went to the dealer today and they said they do not know if they can deprogram the F45, they have to call the techline and get back to me, so I guess that means we will call you back and jack you on the price, I will let you guys know what they say.
