I will take the Corvette out occasionally during the winter if the roads and weather allow, but that freezing rain we got earlier convinced me to leave it in the garage for now.

Looking forward to Spring!

Just took my C5 out the other day - dry break (here in Vancouver, WA). Never sees the rain. It makes you really appreciate the dry days during the Winter around here, and certainly appreciate the spring/summer!

I live in Tigard and was out driving around yesterday in it running a few errands. I have discovered over the years that no car will actually melt if it gets hit by rain. I did leave the top on however.

HI, I'm in VANC.WA, I try to drive everyday (no snow) mainly just because I love my "00 cpe. and start shakin' when I can't! Allthough drivin' on dark rainy nites is not that much fun. If we let the rain control our lives in the N.W. we would never have any fun!

As much as I like to drive & clean my Vette, I've got too much work in it to clean off rain/mud accumulated w/ a wet drive . To each, their own...this is also why I just ordered a battery minder!

Not that I've noticed. I honestly don't think the vast majority of the populace even knows what a Corvette is.

Now that time I was driving my Miata through a thunderstorm with the top down, then I got some looks.

Im stationed near L.A. at the Air Force Base. But I was just up vistiting Portland for the last week over christmas and New Year. My 99 Is a daily driver I take her every wear. As For getting weird looks when its raining out. Not Me I get weird looks, stares, and glares all the time I guess just because Im young. I guess you dont see to many 22 year olds diving a 99 vette, very often. LOL

Nate

It's funny you mention the looks thing..
I drive my vette everywhere..rain,shine,sleet,hail,snow.

Cracked my windshield the day i bought it in a freak hail storm in Texas.
last year i think i racked up @ 20,000 miles and when i drove to an army school in SC they were like you drove that!!!!!!

But as what was said, this is a car that makes you want to drive and drive her i do.
In feb/mar i will be home on mid tour and i dont care how bad it is raining i am driving in her everyday. just gotta watch them overfilled shoulder..Dont think the Varam like them to much.
