gas door
Does anyone know how I can get to pin that allows the gas door to open. Do I get to it by removing a panel inside the trunk near the speaker, or do I remove the wheel well cover to reach from underneath the vehicle. I have 2002 convert. Gas door will not open by auto button or manual release. Thanx

ttt for ya. that sucks. ive never seen one that wouldnt open w/manual release cable in trunk. um....u could always use a screw driver to pry it open but then again it is a vette and not a kia so i wouldnt really do that. good luck.

The latter is correct...
...you can access the gas filler pocket by removing the wheel well liner...
Just be careful not to drop the screws... if you do, just sweep the lower portion of the panel with a pick-up magnet :o
Also, you may have to turn the plastic filler pocket a little to remove the 3 screws which are visible when you open the gas door. Sometimes, it's under tension and puts pressure on the screws.
