I tried them and for the $ they are great tires. They do not hold at the limit as well as the Eagles do, but they cosy WAY less. I now have Toyo t1r's and they suck. For about the same price I will be buying the kuhmo's again next time.
I love mine..when from BF Goodrich G-force T/A because they were noisey with road noise. The Kumhos are quiet and ride smooth. I've had them at 125 MPH+ without any problem. Good luck in your choice

Sorry, I meant they do not allow you to drive the car as hard as the eagles did. They don't relay their condition to you as well when they are warm. The Eagles would let you know when they were about to break loose because they would change tone and then give out. I guess that you could say that they are not as predictable at the limit. MOst of what I am talking about is on the track. If you want a pure street tire they are great!!!!!
I have had both the ASXs and the MXs and I love the tires, for a Korean tire made in a plant that primarily designes work truck and SEMI tires for a great deal of the European market, they make a nice tire. I would buy them again!
I got Kuhmos after the Goodyears runflats died. Absolutely love them - quiet, smooth. Had them on the car when I went to the Texas Motor Speedway and had them at 130 mph+ on the oval and into the road track - let's just say the tires held up better than the driver~! I need more work on my driving than the tires need. Would greatly recommend them to you - think you will like them.

thanks all, I am convinced on them. Have any of you ever needed a tow because you didnt have the run flats?? I am a little worried about that. I am having my buddy who is a car dealer look into them wholesale. so I should hopefully be able to get a 4 tire 17/18 set for about $500-$550. Is it a BAD MOVE to keep the firestone runflats I have on the front and only replace the back tires with the kuhmos, (i have little money to spare right now) thanks for all your help thei place is great!!!

I run the MX's and I'm really happy. 18's all around. 265x35 and 295x35. It's a great tire for the money. Quiet on the highway..
I definitely suggest you don't mix tires on these cars ESPECIALLY runflats and non-runflats. Could create some horrific handling and braking.
just ordered them $673 tire rack thanks for the help
I was going to say that Tirerack is a Kumho importer and I haven't found cheaper prices... and that in general, you should think very carefully about mixing tires front and rear. Glad to see you got a full set.
Although it is OBE now, I too have Kumho Ecsta MXs on my stock rims and have used them on the track several times in wet, dry and damp conditions with good results. I personally don't think they are any easier or harder to drive at the limit than the stock Z06 Goodyear F1SCs and they perform comparably.
If you are worried about a flat, do you have an inflation kit yet like the one the Z06 came with? You can buy them at Walmart or a local auto parts store for under $50. They come with a little air compressor and a can of goop that should be enough to get you off the road and someplace safe.
I'm about to replace my rears and it was between the ecstas and firestone wide ovals...I'm giving the wide ovals a shot...never had a problem with kumhos in the past but I've heard nothing but great things about the wide ovals

Get them installed by someone who will do a road force balance, Hunter I think is the name of the machine. The tire rack should have a listing of installers for your area.
