Default Help on value.

May need to sell my car and wanted some help on value. Its an 04 CE edition coupe automatic. It has 3,500 and still smells new. All stock except for cat back exhaust. All options except mag ride. Auto trader is not alot of help, car prices are all over the place, some in the 40s, some in the 30s. I have not seen very many CE cars. Thanks for your help.

Assuming it is in showroom like condition,
I think you should get $35-37K dependng on your local market.
So ask $38.5 and see what happens.

I have a vert with every option that I don't plan on selling, but if I did I would guess 40 ish. Coupe about 36-38. Like the other guy said it depends on timing and market. This time of year I probably wouldn't pay 40 for mine, and I probably wouldn't pay 36 for yours.

$33k for an auto coupe private sale. Not sure were you would get $38k from, when the car was new and you applied all the discounts and incentives that could be had, it could have almost been bought for that amount. Now factor in two years of depreciation. Also the C6 are getting heavy discounts.

does this car have dual tops??
low kbb 37700 high 42960 with them
now this is a guide. market condition determines value. winter time in this market is brutal on any high dollar sports car. mine had a whsl book of 27850. i paid 22500 from a private party. the car was without doubt a solid 9 out of ten. i spent 140 on a detail and about 200 on a safety at a chev store. the car needed the trim piece inside the door-$6 and an oil change-$89 and the dlr couldnt find any thing else to do. other than the normal upsale of maint. like rear end oil change, tranny oil change. you know that stuff i had one small chip the size of a nats *** down at the bottom of the door edge this is a jan/feb northwest edition kelley blue book i am using

Dwilcox,
I am in so caifornia, Victorville area. CE stands for commemorative edition. Interior color is called shale, but its really some kind of tan. The outside is lemanns blue, this color combo was only for the CE editon. The wheels are polished aluminum. Also has the 3.15 perf ratio.

Not sure how you are coming up with a $53,000 CE could be bought for $33,000 with all the deals. Please don't just say you can buy a $53,000 vehicle for $33,000. I remember $3,000 from GM, $2,000-$3,000 on GM card and always 10%-12% from the dealer, doesn;t add up to anywhere near $20,000 in discounts.

Also the 2004 GTO could have been bought for $19,000-$20,000 new after all the rebates, etc. They are selling for $20,000+ now, explain that?

My friend is selling his 2004 Vert CE. He just told me today .
I asked if he is going to buy a new one and he said

Here is his car....he actually told me that he dropped the price to $43500. http://usedcorvettesforsale.com/out.php?id=12840

Once its gone he will have severe withdrawal as he has always owned Corvettes.

$53k?, my CE A4 MSRP $49k with transparent top and performance rear, Get a solid top and standard rear and a CE listed at $48k
$11k in discounts could be had at the end of 04 or you could opt for 0% financing with less discounts. So you could have got a CE for a low as $37k new. Most of the deprecation will come in the first 3 years. And read what the question was, he asked what he could get for it 2 years later and I said $33K

There are 6 speed CE Verts on e-bay with same or less mileage with "buy it now" for less than $40k from dealers. Someone I know was looking to trade his 04 CE Vert 6 speed with about same mileage for an 06 C6 Vert. His CE is in great shape, last month the dealer offered about $36-37k on the trade in.

Didn't mean to start a p**sing contest. My 04, with solid top and 6 speed, stickered. for $48,080. I thought the CE was a little more money.
I did read read the question, did you read my answer? 2004 GTOs could have been bought for 19,000-20,000, they are 2 yrs old now, you will not buy a clean 04 for that price, not in this area anyhow. Just my 2 cents.

Also I think there is adifference between $33 and $37,000.

I have CE 04 (MN6). I think $33k would be a fair price. I have had mine for 24 months and have 24K miles. They were selling at a good discount in January 04.

$38K no way Jose even with low miles. Just my opinion. Your mileage may be different. But $33K is a fair price.

you are just plain wrong. If you bought one I would like to see the sales receipt. They were selling at a discount but the 0% financing was for a 2 or 3 week period in January. It was gone on Feb 1, 2004. That is a fact. GM only had one prior 0% finance before that one.None since and certainly not at the end of 2004
