TAC module
My 98 started acting up when I tried to start. It idles bad and the DIC says service trac control and reduced engine power. Normally I could turn the car off and restart and it would run fine, but it is getting more frequent.
I took it to the dealer and they say to replace the tac module, and changethe column lock mechanism (not do the software change for the column lock recall) to updated units. I gave the go ahead on the tac module but said no to the column lock mechanism. Has anyone else ran into anything like this.
I've had the recall service completed for the column lock and have never had any issues with the column lock. I dont think this had anything to do with column lock. Hell my car is a 98 and hasn't had any trouble.
