Default Info on 1SourceAutoWarranty???

I took my Vette in for what should have been warranty work, and when the dealer called 1SourceAutoWarranty, there was a recording that the claims department was not accepting claims and to call the Hawaii Insurance division for further info in regards to an ongoing investigation.

Has anyone heard any further info on this?

Major financial problems with 1Source. Have a feeling you are going to be out a lot of money for both the repair and for the warranty you bought.

Unfortunately you just lost your money..
This is "Precisley" why you shouldnt buy warranties online...
Alot of people buy "Warranty Direct" as well. They also rave about how good the service is. Buttttt, you run into the same problem. When they decide to go belly up, there will be a ton of member who get burned.

Unfortunately, I too have 1Source warranties on both my vette and trailblazer. Go to the link mentioned above and it will tell you how you can file your claim for the work you had done. You should do this in order to establish your claim in the event that there are any funds to distribute. If there are, you will receive some type of prorated amount. You should also check with the insurance commissioner's office in the state in which you live. There may possibly be some type of fund that protects you against insurers that go under. You may be able to recover on your car repair claim as well as the amount of the unearned premium on your policy. Good luck.

Default Warranty Car Policies

Never Pay The Entire Cost Up Front And Always Use A Credit Car For Additional Protection. Never Trust Any Body With These Extended Car Warranty. Even The Big Three Domestics Are In Trouble And All They Have To Do Is Declare Charter Bankruptcy And All Claims Are Out The Window.

I would never NOT own a warranty. Heck, I have a warranty on my 105,000 mile Ford Focus.

I have Never lost $$ on an extended warranty and wouldn't sleep well without one on a Corvette. To fix my inoperative door locks would have cost me almost $1000. Each to his own but i'll go for a warranty every time!
