Default dyno tune numbers!!!!

I have a 2003 Z06.....mods include:

Halltech SSM intake
Kooks long tube headers with x-pipe and high flow cats
Borla stinger cat-back
160 degree thermostat
Msd ignition wires
beru silver tipped spark plugs
throttle body bypass

Here are my numbers....

HP: baseline 347.90 (before tune)
Max Power 379.39 (after tune)

Torque: baseline 336.92 (before tune)
Max Power 361.52 (after tune)

Do these numbers seem right according to the mods I have? I dont know....I am confused....How could I still only be making 347 hp after headers and intake??? Somebody correct me if I am wrong please.

BTW....I have the printout but I dont know how to post it!

The base line does seem low - figuring a 15% drivetrain loss, a stock Z06 with 405 bhp should be making around 344 RWHP. With the headers you should have picked up a few horses.

This is why dyno tuning is so important! I bet the tuner found that the engine was running way too lean or way too rich, and was probably getting a lot of knock retard too. So by setting up the air/fuel mixture properly, and eliminating the knock retard, it is allowing the engine to make the proper level of horsepower.

Considering the mods that sounds like a good result. An HC package would probably give you a much bigger jump in numbers.

I made 352RWHP bone stock before I installed a Blackwing and B&B PRT exhaust system, I'm now at 367

With LT headers and a tune you should be well over 380 maybe approaching 390. Somehting is wrong with those numbers. I'd ask the tuner for more details or try another dyno.

BTW most stock Z's dyno in between 345 and 355.
