Is there a way to do this with just bolt on stuff or do I have to cut pipe?

Anybody do this?

It would probably be cheaper to just go to a muffler shop, have them cut out the section where the cats are located and weld in a straight pipe.

A muffler shop wouldnt do it for legal reasons I think. Someone must have done this. There must be a how to somewhere.

WHY?? I can understand adding LT headers to get performance, but removing cats will have dubious value without the LT's. The cats are not a flow restriction UNTIL you add LT's. Even then, you can add high flow cats after the LT's and be legal in 49 states. Taking those cats off crosses you with Federal and many state laws. Not worth it.

I'd take my chances removing Cats. Making or posessing a contraband NFA item I would not do on the other hand.
