torque management is the only thing he didnt do..did you see my dyno sheet?
go over to the scan and tune section and read that.it seems the torque management seems to be a bigger player in the newer cars compared to the older cars.like AU N EGL said the lg's tend to sacrifice a tad of tq for hp.
Just adding long tube headers and tune to an otherwise stock car is not the end all that others would have you think it is. As England Green has stated in other words, you add headers and exhaust/intake in preparation to other mods/power adders. Headers will let the engine breathe better, but what else did you do to increase airflow? Nothing.
i should have bought that 03 z06 instead...i f**ing knew it..
dude-your hyperventilating!!!! take 10 deeps.1-you didn't free up the air coming in[that costs you a little]2-you can have the torque management tweaked 3-no disrespect, but if you thought by bolting on headers you were going to be a 9-10 second car, somebody lied to you.
4-the car you are comparing yours to,were both cars set up exactly, etc, etc. like was stated above, street racing is no way to judge.

i have the so called " zip tie mod" which claims to be just as good as an air intake..( j rod if i recalled correctly did a dyno on his car with and without the zip tie mod and he picked up 12rwhp just with that..)
I have LG pro long tubes with hi flow cats going in about 2 weeks and I hope I dont feel the same way you do. I have a 2000 MN6 though, not a zo6 so I should feel a better gain than you. Most likley its all in the tune. You could get the car re-tuned for lower torque with a loss of Hp up top possibly.

Zip Tie won't do squat. Add a cam or turbo/supercharger, then you are talking.

has anybody looked at my dyno sheet? how is the torque down low?
basically yes..but all u do is use a k&n filter and zip tie it to the bottom part of your lid so there is no " upper plastic" on your front lid. all you see is the air filter from the top..

You guys need to and first realise that an internal combustion engine is just a giant air pump. The more air it can pump, the more power it can make. Just slapping on headers and a cau will not equal 600rwhp.
If anyone wants an immediate giant seat-of-the-pants increase - slap on 4.10 gears on a manual or 3.90 gears and a high stall on an automatic.
Jeez, you folks seem to think that just adding a few bolt ons is going to allow you to travel to the Moon....
I wouldnt bitch about a 21hp gain. If you can't reel your friend in till 120 then so be it. Just get a cam and put him in the rear view mirror. Until then get over being so butt-hurt over something that is 99% most likely NOT the fault of the mod you installed.
I thought LG products were designed for high end HP and the expense of Low end torque. that low end torque is what gets you off the line or out of corners. I maybe wrong too.
Have the car retuned for low end torque and not the HP.

I think its the other way around. LGs pro tubes sacrifice a small amount of high end HP to get more low end torque. As Lou says 'more useable horsepower'.
My experience is much the same. The LG long tubes were installed Thursday night along with a dyno tune. I also feel like the low end is flat compared to before the install. But lordy lordy at 50mph going WOT will actually cause the front end to raise up. There is definately more power at the high end and the sound is awsome. With Ti cat backs and long tubes it's just right. No drone and quiet curising until you get down on it. I also had the Z06 intake installed at the same time.
