Default Possible LED mod

I have been thinking about putting a red LED along the back edge of each door to suplement the red reflector. This is one of the tiny detail items that I think Chevy left off the Vette. The C6 also does not have this.

What do you guys think about adding a light here?

Or would it be better added to the reflector some how?

Thanks

Gary

IMO i think it would be a waste of energy. the reflector is there (as are the lights in some cars) for if u have to open a door alongside a roadway. why would one put a vette on the side of the road? break downs are that common and i'd hate the thought of parking it on the side of the road just for the heck of it....

Your first placement would work only if the door was partially adjar.
If you were to do it it should be located near position #2.

Are you thinking white so the driver can see the ground around the door or red for warning approaching vehicles?

#1 would be harder to fabricate, but I think it would look better if done right.

I like the idea of doing both. Keep us posted.

I think it would look neat at night but really would not serve much purpose. But would look cool, go for it

I was thinking mostly for the warning of approaching vehicles, but you do bring up an interesting idea of having the white LED also to illuminate the ground.

I am going to have to try several mock ups.

I will keep you guys posted.
