The OEM foglights are pretty lousy from an illumination standpoint. They look like fogs when looking at the car but project little light. The PIAA 1100x driving lights replace the factory lights perfectly and are brighter than the low beam headlights. They are very easy to install and the factory has provided part of the wiring if you are installing on a Z06. You need to buy the OEM fog light/trunk switch and if you buy the lights from litewarehouse.com you can also purchase the correct brackets you will need for mounting (Z06). There are instructions on installation if look in the tech section of the forum. Easy to do and extremely worth it.
Just put Silverstar 9005 & 9006 bulbs in your Z and you will have bright, white awesome headlights for around $80 from Autozone! They make a big difference and an easy mod.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may just do all of the above! OEM are pitiful.

I have the PIAA ultra low-beams with some German-made 100w highs along with PIAA 1100x driving lights and never have a problem driving at night. Do all your lights, you won't regret it.

What part numbers did you use?
Was it just a bulb change?
Did you have to change or modify the stock wiring at all?
I suggest you upgrade them all.
Get the PIAAs, the factory switch and the mounting plates for the lights. Also upgrade the OE headlights to the Sylvania silverstars. The combination makes a very nice improvement in night time driving.
