Default Exhaust Manifold Bolt

Installed my new tunnel plate I got with the group purchase from Elite. Jeff was very helpful. Good customer service. Took only about 1 hour, EXCEPT for one exhaust manifold stud. It got gualded and bent and I need to replace it. Does anyone have the GM part number for the stud AND nut? I would sure appreciate the help.

oooh yah, i've been through those. When i was still running my manifolds i bought 4 or 5 just to keep them around if i was going to do exhaust work. I'm sorry i don't remmeber the part number, but your parts department should be able to help you.

After class today i'll attempt to remove a bolt from one of the 3 sets of manifolds i have laying around my house. Last time i tried i didn't have a wrench thin enough to safely remove the bolt.

I would be very careful removing the stud. Bad luck here will mean sending the head out to the machine shop. I remember the owner of a small shop I was working in years ago doing some exhaust work on a C/K Blazer. Broken bolts & studs moved forward until the cyl head was last in line. He was not a happy camper.

Heads up

Thanks guys. The stud is for the exhaust manifold. It connects the exhaust to the cats and H pipe. I did get one of the part numbers. The stud is 12562640. Have not got the nut number yet. I will post it when I do.
