Default a question from an old thread on C5 mods

a couple of questions......

the therm change only requires fan temp turn on changes to accomplish? my 91 and 86 would not come out of open loop unless i plugged in a chip that allowed for that temp without leaning the injection to bring up the temp,,,,, is this not the case anymore?

I will not have a cat removal issue here ,,,,, my 91 is removed and runs fine with the hypertech streetmaster.... does this tuning for the 2004 take the lowerd back pressure and higher hydrocarbon content into consideration or is it a must to "fool" the computer with the O2 simulator?

are there other mods that help performance such as the mentioned air intake ? like map sensor changes...... etc...???

thanks you guys,,,,, i havent had much time to research this car since i bought it.....

Rick

ps,,,, is there a difference between the 2003 and 2004 intake? what are the differences?

a) cant comment, the thermo is a waste of money IMHO and after it was not suggested to be the best idea by a corvette engineer i declined to do it.

b) either get the car tuned after cat removal / or trick the computer w/o 02 sims.

c) a new CAI (cold air intake), yes will help performance .. not a bunch but some

d) no, no difference between the actual intake on the 03 or 04 .. they are both the ls6 intake.
